Project Overview

This role focuses on aligning and refining 37 active IT asset management (ITAM) policies by updating definitions and clarifying intent. The Senior Project Manager will lead enterprise-wide governance, compliance, and policy management initiatives within ITAM.

The position plays a key role in strengthening governance frameworks, improving audit readiness, reducing risk exposure, and ensuring global compliance. It requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including IT, Procurement, Cybersecurity, Legal, Finance, and Audit.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Strategy

  • Define and drive global ITAM governance, policy, and compliance strategy
  • Develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures aligned with ITIL, ISO, and industry best practices
  • Establish and lead governance committees and working groups

Policy & Compliance Management

  • Maintain centralized documentation for ITAM policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure consistent policy enforcement across regions and business units
  • Oversee software license compliance and provide risk and compliance reporting

Operational Execution

  • Implement governance processes for policy enforcement and risk mitigation
  • Standardize control assessments, compliance checks, and exception handling
  • Improve workflows through automation and stakeholder feedback

Audit & Risk Management

  • Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Develop control testing procedures and remediation strategies
  • Provide governance dashboards, scorecards, and risk heat maps

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with Legal, Audit, Cybersecurity, Procurement, and Finance teams
  • Lead governance councils, audit reviews, and cross-functional discussions
  • Communicate effectively with executives and business stakeholders

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor cross-functional teams responsible for governance and compliance
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and knowledge sharing

Technology & Innovation

  • Leverage tools for compliance monitoring, automation, and reporting
  • Partner with ITAM platform teams to embed governance into workflows

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support governance for M&A, data privacy, and regulatory initiatives
  • Represent ITAM in enterprise risk and policy forums
  • Continuously improve ITAM governance maturity using industry benchmarks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Compliance, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Governance, Compliance, or Risk Management
  • 3+ years of experience managing ITAM projects, governance, policy, or audit functions in a global environment
  • Strong understanding of ITAM lifecycle, licensing, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
  • Experience working with Legal, Audit, Cybersecurity, and Procurement teams
  • Proven ability to lead governance committees and working groups

  • ITAM lifecycle management and governance frameworks

  • Knowledge of ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ISO standards

Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP
  • ITIL, CSAM, CITAM, CISA, or ISO/IEC 19770
