Join our team as a Member Services Agent for the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club!

The Club, located at Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, is one of the most elite social clubs in the world. As part of the Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts portfolio, it’s sister properties include Montecito Club, San Ysidro Ranch, Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore Santa Barbara, Sandpiper Golf Club, Four Seasons New York and Las Ventanas al Paraíso in Los Cabos, Mexico. The Member Services Agent is the first point of contact for Members and guests at the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club. This role is central to providing exceptional service by warmly welcoming arrivals, assisting with inquiries and reservations, and managing communication across departments. The Agent ensures a high standard of hospitality while supporting the overall guest experience with professionalism, attention to detail, and enthusiasm. 

This position is compensated at $20/hr and eligible for commission on retail sales.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Greet Members and guests by name with warmth and professionalism. 
  • Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, responding to messages from our app and assisting with in-person inquiries. 
  • Maintain accurate Member profiles, including special dates (birthdays, anniversaries) and preferences to enhance personalized service. 
  • Provide accurate Club information, including hours of operation, upcoming events, fitness classes, and amenities. 
  • Assist with Member and guest reservations for cabanas, dining, racquets, fitness, and special events. 
  • Maintain the reception area with a focus on cleanliness, visual appeal, and appropriate ambiance (music, monitors, etc.). 
  • Process merchandise sales and gift-wrapping requests; fulfill mobile and online orders. 
  • Track and update guest visits and Member charges as needed. 
  • Accept and relay messages for Members and staff; operate the telephone switchboard and direct calls appropriately. 
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure Member requests and feedback are communicated and resolved promptly. 
  • Handle locker rentals and processing rental requests 
  • Monitor and report unauthorized visitors; help enforce Club rules and policies as needed. 
  • Keep reception supply inventory stocked and organized. 
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, word processing, and data entry. 
  • Support the Operations Manager and General Manager with assigned duties. 
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings. 
  • Uphold all Club policies, procedures, and service standards. 
  • Promote a safe and supportive work environment across all areas. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 

  • Articulate, friendly, and proactive with a dynamic, outgoing personality. 
  • Strong verbal communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. 
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and client service. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer systems. 
  • Reliable, honest, and committed to the Club’s values and standards. 
  • Calm under pressure; able to manage Member concerns and resolve conflicts effectively. 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; creative and resourceful. 
  • Fluent in English. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION 

  • Two-year college degree or at least two years of relevant hospitality or customer service experience. 
  • Previous experience in roles such as host/hostess, front desk agent, receptionist, retail associate, or tour operator preferred. 
  • CPR certified (or willingness to obtain). 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to stand at a desk for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours). 
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items up to 25 pounds. 
  • Must be able to climb stairs, bend, stretch, twist, crouch, and reach as needed. 
  • Primarily indoor work with occasional duties in hybrid indoor/outdoor settings. 
  • Able to perform continuous mental and physical tasks, including repetitive motions.
