Job Description

Salary: $110,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

• We require U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain Department of Energy clearance; active Top Secret or Q clearance is preferred.
• We are looking for 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• We require prior UI/UX design experience, including page layouts, screen and form mockups, and wireframe development.
• We need strong hands-on experience building transactional web applications and web services with Angular, Bootstrap, HTML/JavaScript, CSS, Servlets, Java, AJAX, XML, Spring Framework, JSP, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL.
• We require advanced proficiency in RESTful and SOAP web services, including WSDL and related XML/JSON technologies.
• We prefer experience with Oracle WebLogic/J2EE application servers.
• We prefer experience with Oracle RDBMS.
• We prefer experience using Git version control.
• We prefer experience with IDEs such as VS Code, Visual Studio, or Eclipse.
• Experience with Ext JS 3.x/4.x is a plus.
• Experience with Jasper iReport is a plus.
• We value experience translating requirements into designs and then into working applications.
• We need excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• We need the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• We value strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
• We require excellent spoken and written English communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
• We need someone who can collaborate with other web developers to standardize design and structure and share ideas for efficient development.

• We need the ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities as needed.

• We develop and enhance web applications in support of the Department of Energy.
• We perform UI/UX and back-end web development in a J2SE/J2EE environment.
• We work primarily with existing and legacy code while also contributing to new development.
• We build most new features in Angular.
• We maintain and extend legacy functionality in Ext JS.
• We collaborate with teammates to standardize application design and structure.
• We contribute ideas for more efficient and effective development.
• We support application development process improvements with the team.
• We adapt our work to an iterative release cycle.
• We handle technical tasks independently and as part of the team while balancing shifting priorities.
