Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN – Mother Baby for travel assignments . This role involves providing postpartum care for both mothers and newborns, ensuring a smooth recovery, and offering essential education on newborn care. The ideal candidate is skilled in postpartum assessments, lactation support, and maternal-newborn bonding .

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for postpartum mothers and newborns.
  • Monitor maternal and newborn vital signs and recovery progress.
  • Assist with breastfeeding and lactation support .
  • Educate new mothers on postpartum care, newborn care, and safety .
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and screenings for both mother and baby.
  • Recognize and respond to postpartum complications or neonatal distress .
  • Collaborate with OB-GYNs, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and postpartum nurses .
  • Travel to various hospitals and mother-baby units for temporary assignments .

Qualifications

  • Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license .
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a Mother Baby, Postpartum, or OB/GYN setting .
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in postpartum assessments, breastfeeding support, and patient education .
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work 12-hour shifts and respond to urgent situations .
  • Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments .
