Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst II for a contract to hire that will provide advanced, high‑touch technical support to end users in a fast‑paced, professional environment. This role is a key part of the IT support function, handling complex desktop-related issues, mentoring Tier I support, and delivering exceptional service to users at all levels, including senior leadership.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, technically curious, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. You’ll serve as a trusted technical resource while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Rate Range: $35/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, and other factors.

Responsibilities: 

  • Resolve complex desktop support incidents and service requests across hardware, software, and network environments

  • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows and macOS systems, applications, peripherals, and connectivity

  • Provide guidance and escalation support to Tier I analysts

  • Research, test, and implement effective technical solutions

  • Accurately document incidents, resolutions, and workflows in a ticketing system

  • Prioritize and manage tickets based on impact, urgency, and service-level expectations

  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level technical teams when appropriate

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with end users, providing timely update

  • Deliver white-glove support to senior and executive-level users

  • Continuously build knowledge of internal systems, tools, and IT best practices

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Customer-first mindset with a high level of professionalism

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure

  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and macOS

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office and related productivity tools

Hands-on experience with:

  • iOS devices

  • Conference room and AV systems

  • Lenovo laptops and HP printers (or comparable enterprise hardware)

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

  • Collaborative team player who is also a self-starter

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in a Tier II desktop or IT support role

  • Certifications such as A+ , Network+ , Microsoft , or ITIL Foundation (preferred, not required)
