Temporary Staff Accountant Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Staff Accountant to provide leave coverage within the Finance Department of a health center!

Temporary Staff Accountant Assistant Details:

• Temporary position
• $23.68 to $35.52 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )

• Accurately record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Research and resolve routine accounting inquiries, discrepancies, and account issues from internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with annual audits by compiling documentation and preparing auditor support schedules.
• Provide backup support for payroll processing and perform other accounting duties as needed to support department operations.

Temporary Staff Accountant Assistant Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, reporting, and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial reconciliation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of an organization.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work 8+ week temporary assignment
