We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with a growing organization in San Marcos, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience who enjoys variety, accuracy, customer interaction, and being part of a collaborative administrative team.
The Staff Accountant will support the full AP and AR cycle, including customer purchase order processing, invoicing, payment posting, reconciliations, collections support, sales tax reporting, and administrative documentation. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute in a developing administration department where process improvement, teamwork, and ownership are valued. Key ResponsibilitiesRequired Qualifications
- 4+ more years of experience in a similar accounting clerk, AP/AR, or accounting support role.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or another ERP system is required.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Experience working with purchase orders is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Basic knowledge of accounting functions, including payroll and taxes.
