We are seeking a SAP EWM Functional Consultant (AMS) to join our team. This role will involve supporting and enhancing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) systems, handling Application Managed Services (AMS), and ensuring smooth warehouse operations through system optimization and business process improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience in SAP EWM configuration, S/4HANA implementations, warehouse processes, and AMS support, along with a passion for delivering efficient supply chain solutions in the manufacturing domain.

Location: Portland, OR, 97217 (On-site Preferred)

Duration: 6 months (Contract-to-Hire)

Job Description:

The SAP EWM Functional Consultant (AMS) will play a key role in delivering end-to-end SAP EWM solutions, including implementation, configuration, and ongoing AMS support. This position requires deep expertise in warehouse management processes, SAP S/4HANA EWM, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The SAP EWM Functional Consultant (AMS) will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing solutions, configuring SAP systems, and supporting warehouse operations. The role also involves working closely with business users and technical teams to resolve incidents and enhance system capabilities.

The SAP EWM Functional Consultant (AMS) must have extensive experience in both centralized and decentralized warehouse management, along with hands-on expertise in inbound, outbound, kitting, and internal warehouse processes.

The SAP EWM Functional Consultant (AMS) will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring system efficiency and alignment with business needs while maintaining SLA compliance.

The SAP EWM Functional Consultant (AMS) is expected to provide leadership in AMS operations, coordinate with onsite and offshore teams, and deliver high-quality support and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide business process consulting and recommend SAP EWM best practices
• Analyze, assign, and resolve incidents while ensuring timely communication with business users
• Support business users and provide solutions based on operational needs
• Perform requirement analysis, solution design, system configuration, and testing in SAP EWM
• Define integration points across functional modules
• Identify data and reporting requirements for warehouse operations
• Configure SAP EWM and develop proof of concepts (PoCs)
• Work closely with ABAP teams for custom developments (RICEF objects, RF transactions)
• Manage EWM data migration and support cutover activities during Go-Live
• Ensure SLA adherence and provide periodic reporting and metrics
• Coordinate between onsite and offshore teams for seamless delivery

Required Skills & Experience:

• 15+ years of overall SAP experience in implementations, rollouts, and AMS
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA EWM, including at least one full-cycle implementation
• 2+ years of experience in Application Managed Services (AMS)

Technical Expertise:

• Strong experience in centralized and decentralized warehouse management
• Expertise in inbound, outbound, kitting, internal processes, VAS, wave management, and physical inventory
• Knowledge of warehouse order creation rules and strategies
• Experience with RF integration, RF queue management, and custom RF development
• Hands-on experience with POSC, LOSC, and Warehouse Process Type (WPT) determination
• Experience in goods receipt, deconsolidation, put-away, picking strategies, and batch management
• Strong knowledge of Post Processing Framework (PPF) configuration
• Experience with master data setup: packaging specs, warehouse structures, handling units
• Exposure to labor management, cartonization planning, yard management, and slotting
• Understanding of EWM table structures

Industry Experience:

• Manufacturing industry experience required
• Automotive OEM experience preferred

Functional & Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in incident management and user support
• Ability to create functional specifications and design documents
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
