About the Job This a 75% time (30 hours per week) temporary, 3 month P&A position.
Duties/Responsibilities - 25% Process development in the area of value-added processing of almond hull for functional food ingredient and nano-fiber materials production
- 25% Designs, plans, implements, and evaluates complex, multifaced research projects/systems, for both technological and scientifical developments into experiment plan.
- 25% Data acquisition and analysis using programming, model building, and database development and management.
- 15% Write reports and papers and presentation preparation. Draft and contribute to technical reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, grant reports, and other scholarly publications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with disciplinary standards
- 10% Literature review. Perform comprehensive and systematic reviews of existing scientific literature to inform research design, methodology, and analysis.
Qualifications Required Qualifications - Advanced degree with 1 or more years of research training in chemical engineering, food science and engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in the area of food pasteurization using catalytic non-thermal plasma and catalytic intensive pulse light
Preferred Qualifications - Excellent communication skills; the ability to write clearly and to communicate effectively and efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $14,250 (3 month appointment) ; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
