Job Title: Product Owner/Manager
Location: Onsite - Montpelier, VT
Duration: 1 Year plus
Job Summary
- Serve as the Application Product Owner, overseeing product vision, strategy, and alignment with business goals, state IT requirements, and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and developers, to gather, analyze, refine, and document evolving business and functional requirements.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring work focuses on the most valuable features.
- Write clear and actionable user stories and requirements to guide the Agile/Scrum development team.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint execution to ensure team alignment and efficient delivery.
- Define acceptance criteria for features/user stories to ensure quality standards are met.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders for continuous product improvement.
- Participate in product releases, ensuring timely and quality delivery of features and updates.
- Act as a liaison between development teams and other departments to maintain clear communication and understanding of product goals.
- Utilize Agile project management tools (such as Azure DevOps) and have exposure to enterprise applications (e.g., Salesforce).
- Apply knowledge of business practices related to licensing, inventory tracking, regulation, and enforcement, with a preference for experience in the Control/Cannabis Regulatory Industry.
- Preferred experience with government/public sector projects, system stabilization initiatives, API integrations, and DevOps/testing tools (e.g., Copado, Testim).
- Agile/Scrum certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent are preferred; valid certification required.
