Payrate: $36.00 - $38.00/hr.

Summary

This role is part of the Packaging Engineering group under Combination Products Operations (CPO). The position involves applying engineering principles to design, qualify, and implement Primary and Secondary Packaging components and associated systems, such as documentation, equipment, and processes. A solid understanding of packaging systems and material science is crucial. The role requires organizational skills, project management, technical problem-solving, and strong communication abilities. The candidate must be adaptable to a rapidly changing environment and work effectively in teams.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and evaluation to recommend and select primary and secondary packaging materials.
• Ensure familiarity with Material Testing standards, requirements, and equipment.
• Write test protocols and perform technical evaluations and testing to support reports for material and packaging component selection.
• Create technical specifications, engineering drawings, and artwork templates.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar software to create, modify, and approve engineering drawings.
• Support line trials and packaging validation activities prior to the introduction of new or modified components/processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Device Engineering, Supply Chain, Artwork, Manufacturing, Regulatory, etc.) in pre-commercial and commercial activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of engineering/scientific experience.
• BS in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences.
• 3 years of general packaging/engineering experience is strongly preferred.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $36.00 - $38.00 /hour . Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
