Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: IHS outpatient facility - Fort Hall, ID 83203

Pay Rate: $55 per hour + Travel stipend (if applicable): $1,267 per week
Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, excluding federal holidays

Contract Length: 1 year base with 1 option year (anticipated start 2027)

Benefits: 10 days PTO, accrued sick days, paid holidays, Health & Welfare $5.42/hr (prorated based on hours worked)

Status: Position contingent upon contract award

• Federal contract in bidding process open for locals and travelers

Job Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the outpatient team at an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility in Fort Hall, ID. This position provides nursing care across the lifespan, supporting an underserved community through preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute outpatient needs.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current, active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Current ACLS and PALS certification
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English
• Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience in ambulatory care, primary care, emergency care, or medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Experience in outpatient or ambulatory care preferred
• Experience with IHS RPMS and EHR systems preferred

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments, triage, and vital signs
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as ordered
• Support providers during outpatient visits and procedures
• Provide patient education and care coordination
• Document care accurately in the EHR
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, IHS, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements
