Step into an exciting career as an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner in Central North Carolina with a dynamic hospital setting that blends advanced care and hometown heart in a 100+ bed hospital celebrated for community-focused care

As an Orthopedic APP, this role places a proven clinician inside a mission-driven, patient-first environment known for clinical excellence and safety, positive media momentum, and a supportive, Magnet-style culture that elevates teamwork, innovation, and outcomes; the hospital equips an Orthopedic APP with high-acuity exposure across complex musculoskeletal cases, robotics-enabled surgery, advanced imaging, AI-assisted decision support, and virtual nursing solutions, while leadership pilots modern care models like telehealth and value-based care, encourages precepting and teaching, fosters research and publication, streamlines workflows with an optimized EHR, and celebrates APP autonomy through strong collaboration with surgeons and specialty consult teams.

On the Med Surg Unit, the Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will join a high-performing musculoskeletal and bone-and-joint service line that manages spine, fracture, and joint-replacement populations with evidence-based protocols, thoughtful care transitions, and coordinated rehab; as part of a 100+ bed hospital grounded in community-focused care, the Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will see a broad mix of orthopedic surgery and nonoperative conditions, consult on perioperative optimization, champion mobility milestones, and help sustain patient satisfaction scores that reflect genuine community trust.

This position collaborates closely with attending orthopedic surgeons, hospitalists, anesthesia, PT/OT, pharmacy, case management, and social work; daily responsibilities for the Orthopedic APP, Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedics include inpatient rounds, consults, pre-op assessments, post-op management, discharge planning, order set optimization, splinting and casting, joint injections as credentialed, all supported by friendly nurses, a diverse interprofessional team, real-time dashboards for outcomes tracking, and clinician-friendly tools that reduce clicks and free up time for bedside care.

Central North Carolina offers the Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner an enviable lifestyle with four-season weather, scenic trails, lakes, and nearby forests for hiking and cycling, plus quick getaways to both the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Carolina coast. The Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will appreciate a resilient job market anchored by healthcare, education, advanced manufacturing, and tech, a favorable cost of living with varied housing from historic neighborhoods to new-build communities, making Central North Carolina a welcoming, family-friendly home base with excellent long-term prospects.

The Orthopedic APP, Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedics will be rewarded with competitive compensation that reflects experience and scope, along with a full suite of health and retirement benefits that typically includes medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA options, robust paid time off, malpractice coverage, disability and life insurance, and employer retirement contributions; to learn more or confidentially explore fit, connect today with a Clinical Management Consultants recruiter and take the next step toward an Orthopedic APP, Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedics role that checks every box
