Job Summary:

The Network Analyst (Level 3 NOC Analyst) is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. This role serves as an escalation point for lower-level analysts, providing advanced technical support, mentorship, and collaboration to quickly resolve network issues and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor network devices and infrastructure using network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or similar systems.
• Respond to alerts and incidents, perform diagnostics, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Create, log, and track incident tickets with accurate documentation and timely responses.
• Troubleshoot routers, switches, and other network components, collaborating with the network engineering team.
• Isolate availability and performance issues to prevent or resolve site outages.
• Act as a senior team member and gatekeeper to the network engineering group.
• Follow NOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and runbooks.
• Maintain a clear understanding of client network topology to efficiently isolate problems.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with technologies.
• Perform duties as directed by the NOC Shift Supervisor.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• 3 to 5 years of advanced experience in network operations, technology, and support.
• Proficiency with network monitoring systems such as SolarWinds or similar NMS tools (Power User level).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, TELNET, SSH, TRACEROUTE, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Experience troubleshooting routers and switches.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, best practices, and workflows.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or equivalent are preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Mentorship and leadership experience within a NOC environment.
• Advanced certifications related to network engineering or administration.
• Experience working with complex network topologies and large-scale environments.

Special Considerations:

• Flexibility to work alternate shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Newark, NJ.
• Willingness to participate in both phone and in-person interviews.

Scheduling:

• Contract position for 6 months with possibility of extension.
• Shift work as directed by NOC Shift Supervisor, including potential night and weekend shifts.
