The Investigative Auditor IV (Specialist) conducts the most complex office and field audits of charitable organizations and fundraising professionals that are subject to the supervision of the Attorney General pursuant to the Supervision of Trustees and Fundraisers for Charitable Purposes Act. Audits are conducted to discover misuse or diversion of charitable assets, and other fiscal abuse and wrongdoing by charitable trustees, and to take corrective action to enforce compliance with applicable law. The position requires working knowledge of an extensive body of laws and regulations relating to charitable corporations, charitable trusts, charitable solicitation, and general accounting and auditing principles and procedures applicable to charities. Investigative and good writing skills are also required.
