Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and highly skilled Illustrator to join our team. Your primary role will be to translate complex ideas, stories, and brand values into original, high-impact visual artwork. You will collaborate closely with our marketing and design teams to create everything from digital assets and social media graphics to print materials and internal concepts.
The ideal candidate has a signature style but is versatile enough to adapt to our brand’s aesthetic, possessing a "digital-first" mindset while maintaining the soul of traditional drawing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
* Concept Development: Brainstorm with the creative team to develop visual metaphors and narratives that align with project goals.
* Execution: Create high-quality, original illustrations for various platforms (web, mobile, social, print, and physical merchandise).
* Drafting & Iteration: Produce rough sketches and storyboards for initial approval, refining them based on internal and client feedback.
* Asset Management: Ensure all final files are optimized for their intended medium (SVG for web, high-res CMYK for print, etc.).
* Style Consistency: Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual language, ensuring all illustrations feel cohesive across different campaigns.
* Trend Awareness: Stay current with design trends, software updates (including AI-assisted tools), and visual storytelling techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Portfolio: A strong professional portfolio demonstrating a range of styles, techniques, and completed commercial projects.
* Technical Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard software, specifically Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate.
* Artistic Fundamentals: Deep understanding of color theory, anatomy, perspective, and composition.
* Communication: Ability to explain the "why" behind artistic choices and receptiveness to constructive critique.
* Time Management: Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications
* Motion Graphics: Experience with Adobe After Effects to bring illustrations to life through 2D animation.
* Technical Drawing: Ability to create complex infographics or isometric designs.
* 3D Familiarity: Basic knowledge of 3D modeling software (like Blender) for reference or integrated art.
* AI Integration: Experience using AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Firefly) to speed up brainstorming or mood-boarding workflows.
