Title: Housekeeping / Room Attendant
Department: Hotel Housekeeping
Purpose: To clean hotel guest rooms according to quality and performance standards
Housekeeping / Guest Room Attendant Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard.
2. Change bed linen and make beds.
3. Replace used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
4. Sweep and mop floors.
5. Vacuum carpets.
6. Dust and polish furniture.
7. Empty trash containers and ashtrays.
8. Clean public areas, such as corridors.
9. Report any technical issues and maintenance needs.
10. Update status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
11. Return and restock cleaning cart at shift end.
Requirements:
Requirements:
1. Must be 18 years old or older.
2. Previous housekeeping and/or guest service experience is preferred.
3. Must have experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products.
4. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
5. Must be able to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
6. Must have physical strength, mobility and stamina to lift 50 pounds, carry, push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop
and kneel.
7. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
8. Ideal candidates are professional, polite, and honest.
9. Must be able to learn and comply with all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.
10. Must maintain a neat and clean physical appearance, and demonstrate professional conduct and honesty.
Dependability: Employees are expected to be on time and demonstrate regular attendance.
Job Performance: Employees are expected to complete duties quickly, efficiently, and safely.
Conduct: Employees are expected to follow worksite rules and regulations. Employees who violate worksite rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
