Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $20 - $20 / hour* 

What you'll be doing as a Housekeeper:

• Maintains the premises in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition by thoroughly cleaning areas which include, but are not limited to resident rooms, common areas, nursing stations, and administrative areas while utilizing various cleaning techniques
• Performs all cleaning tasks as directed on a daily basis, including daily cleaning, general cleaning, and removal of trash
• Essential Job Functions: The following statements are illustrative of the duties and responsibilities of the job
• Manoa Cottage retains the right to modify or change the duties and responsibilities of the job at any time
• Sweeps, wet mops, and/or vacuums floors throughout facility, including resident rooms, common areas/lobbies, restrooms, elevator, and corridors
• Gathers and disposes of rubbish from resident rooms and administrative offices, empties, and wipes waste receptacles regularly, relining cans with plastic bags
• Cleans employee refrigerators on a monthly basis
• Washes walls, interior windows/screens, and high cleaning areas such as lighting fixtures, ceilings, and vents
• Moving and arranging furniture as needed; assists with other departmental set-up needs
• Prepares cleaning solutions as indicated by manufacturer's instructions
• Assists maintenance supervisor with preventative maintenance and cleaning projects as needed
• Keeps housekeeping equipment operating by following operational instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting issues and reporting malfunctions
• Attend and participate in facility meetings and in services as assigned.
• Regularly checks perimeter and outside areas of the facility to clean or clear any trash or debris
• Maintains reliable attendance and punctuality
• Follows infection control procedures and policies while performing job duties and functions
• Other duties as required

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Previous housekeeping experience highly preferred  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail  
• Able to frequently bend, reach, balance, and push or lift 20 pounds during shift 
• Previous housekeeping / cleaning experience preferred
• Previous experience in a health care setting preferred
