Description:
is hiring a Fund Accountant to join its finance and fund administration team in New York, NY. This role is responsible for supporting accounting operations for private equity and alternative investment funds, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with client and regulatory standards.

The Fund Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. This position also plays an important role in maintaining investor records and supporting communication with auditors and clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing cash transactions and performing bank reconciliations
• Recording and maintaining accurate journal entries and general ledger accounts
• Preparing detailed workpapers, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes
• Managing partner capital account reporting and investor allocations
• Processing investor capital calls and distribution transactions
• Coordinating with external auditors during review and audit processes
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of fund accounting records

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting principles and the ability to manage detailed financial data with accuracy and consistency. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Required qualifications:
