This position is located in the Food Service Department of the Chula Vista Veterans Home and is responsible for  serving and assisting with the preparation of food and beverages; cleaning and maintaining food service equipment, utensils, and work areas as required.

This is a 12-month Limited Term position.  The Limited Term may be extended for up to 24 months and/or the position may become permanent.

Working Conditions

Employees of CalVet will be required to follow state or county public health guidelines and requirements enacted in accordance with infectious disease prevention and control.

Special Requirements

Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required.

If your eligibility requires that you meet the Minimum Qualifications of the class and you qualify under pattern requiring education, then the selected candidate will be required to provide college transcripts prior to appointment
