Job Title: Entry Level Production Associate

Job Description

This role focuses on the precise assembly of electronic components and hardware using a variety of manual and machine-assisted techniques. You will work with very small parts, perform highly repetitive tasks, and follow detailed work orders to meet production goals while maintaining strict quality standards in a clean, temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components using crimps, stakes, bolts, soldering, cements, or press fits to join or secure parts in place.
  • Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, switches, and other fittings to finished parts and assemblies.
  • Connect component lead wires to printed circuits and route wiring according to detailed work instructions and diagrams.
  • Monitor machines that solder parts to ensure consistent quality and correct operation.
  • Perform repetitive assembly tasks including potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, and color coding parts and assemblies.
  • Perform quality checks using tools such as no-go gauges to verify parts meet specifications and standards.
  • Adjust or trim material from components to bring parts into specification as required.
  • Follow detailed work orders and instructions accurately to complete each step of the production process.
  • Use hand tools, small power tools, and basic measuring devices such as tape measures in daily work.
  • Load and unload parts or materials on assembly lines and into machines as needed.
  • Operate production and assembly equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Inspect work in process and finished products for defects, accuracy, and overall quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient production environment.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve daily and weekly production goals.
  • Accurately record production and inspection information through basic data entry as required.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience working with small parts in a production, manufacturing, or assembly line environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing repetitive tasks in a prior role.
  • Past experience in a position with defined production goals and the ability to meet those targets consistently.
  • Comfort reading and interpreting detailed work orders and following written instructions.
  • High attention to detail and precision when working with very small components.
  • Ability to perform hand assembly work requiring accuracy and fine motor skills.
  • Capability to use basic hand tools and small power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive assembly operations in a structured production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with bench assembly in group and independent settings.
  • Familiarity with general production processes and assembly line work.
  • Exposure to electrical or electronic assembly tasks, including wiring and soldering.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic production documentation.
  • Experience with inspection activities, including the use of gauges and visual checks.
  • Comfort using a tape measure and other simple measuring tools.
  • Familiarity with machine operation and machine loading in a production environment.
  • Basic data entry skills to record production or quality information.
  • Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow all safety procedures and guidelines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
