Job Description

Salary: $138,000 - 178,000 per year Requirements:

  • We require a bachelors degree.
  • We need at least three years of experience in security.
  • We look for hands-on experience with incident response.
  • We prefer a CompTIA CySA+, Security+, or CISSP certification.
  • We require the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
  • We need candidates who can work a shift-based schedule.
  • We are looking for someone who can multitask and stay effective under pressure.
Responsibilities:
  • We monitor and analyze network traffic, IDS alerts, security events, and logs.
  • We distinguish real intrusion attempts from false positives and prioritize threats accordingly.
  • We develop, maintain, and follow SOC standard operating procedures.
  • We prepare daily and monthly situational reports for each shift.
  • We review large data sets to identify unusual or suspicious activity.
  • We create detection content for IDS and SIEM tools and advise on proactive security blocking measures.
  • We open, track, and drive security investigations through to closure.
  • We draft security alert notices and related communications.
  • We guide incident responders on how to investigate and resolve cyber incidents.
  • We stay current on emerging vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and countermeasures.
